In this video a brush is used to coat the entire piece of foam that was carved into the shape of a rock. Use a semi stiff brush to coat in all of the nooks and crannies as well on the entire bottom of the piece itself. Your goal will be to completely encapsulate the foam with the Pond Shield coating.

If you place wax paper down onto the work surface prior to coating, you will be able to set the piece down to cure without risk of the piece sticking to the work surface. Once the piece is cured completely, it will peel off of the wax paper with ease.
