Enjoy these ponds. Some were
created by professional installers while others were
created by home owners too. In both cases, the
ponds all look great and one can definitely see that
a lot of heart was put into them as well.

WEDDING CAKE
FOUNTAIN
This original piece is a
wedding cake style fountain that has been
constructed of concrete formed sections. Each
section is bolted into place and then Pond Shield
Gray was used in conjunction with fiberglass tape to
seal the completed unit. After all was cured,
the epoxy was abraded and then black glass tiles
were set in place. This way the waterproof
barrier was installed first in order to preserve the
natural beauty of the tile itself. See more
HERE.

CUSTOM 5000
GALLON ARAPAIMA GIGAS TANK
This custom tank was built
to house large fish. The tank body was created
using concrete block, sealed with Competition Blue
Pond Shield. Afterwards the acrylic windows
were put in place with a stainless steel frame using
a combination of Pond Shield epoxy and a special Dow
Corning silicone. The same method was used for
all of the filtration pipes coming through the
walls. See more
HERE.

ARIZONA
SWIMMING POOL
Pond Shield epoxy can also
be used on swimming pools too. It is
completely compatible with chlorine as well as many
other chemicals. In this instance, the home
owner coated the entire pool with Sky Blue Pond
Shield as a contrasting color against the tile trim
work at the top of the pool. See more
HERE.

BLACK SLATE
TILE POND
In this situation, the
owner wanted a more formal looking pond and chose
black slate tile. Since the slate is porous to
begin with it was decided that Pond Shield Clear
would be used as the final coating to completely
seal all of the tile. Any coating that was
exposed above the water line was scuffed with a red
Scotchbrite pad to dull the coating and give the
final finish a more natural look. See more
HERE.

LARGE Y-SHAPED
POND/LAKE
This particular Y-shaped
pond is about 12,000 square feet, just about the
size of a small man-made lake. Because the
surface area was so large and mostly uneven, it was
decided to spray Pond Shield Tan in order to lay
down a more even coat. The black pipe you see
running through the pond is actually a city run off
line that allows properties above this one to
channel run off into sewers well below this
property. The pipe, being black, stood out and
a special primer was mixed that would allow Pond
Shield to permanently bond to the pipe thereby
minimizing its appearance. See more
HERE.

HILLSIDE DOUBLE
WATERFALL POND
This pond was constructed
on a hillside with two water falls feeding the main
body of the pond. The top right waterfall feed
is actually a narrow basin about four and a half
feet deep. The owner of this pond had used a
latex type of coating that didn't last very long.
Since being prepped and surfaced with Pond Shield
epoxy, he has not had any troubles. The basins
were coated with Tan Pond Shield and and submerged
rock formations were coated with Clear Pond Shield.

HERE.

INTERESTING
POND & FIREPLACE
This is one of the more
unique uses of both a pond and a fireplace. If
you look at the pictures closely, you'll see that
the water is channeled through the fireplace.
That's right! Through the fireplace, where it
is then spilled into the main body of the pond and
finally channeled through a small spillway back to
where it starts all over again. See more
HERE.

SKY BLUE
TRI-BASIN POND
This pond had a constant
leak problem mostly where each basin connected to
the waterfall over flows. There were also some
leaking issues around the drain pipes in the bottom
basin. The basins were coated with Sky Blue
Pond Shield and the rock formations with Clear Pond
Shield to retain a natural look. See more
HERE.

COMPETITION
BLUE TRI-BASIN POND
The concrete walls and
floor of this pond were poured at different time
which created a cold joint at those seams.
This crew here is using a technique that combines
strips of fiberglass wetted out over those cold
joint seams to increase the strength properties of
the coating. In this way they have ensured
that any extra movement in the structure will be
absorbed by the fiberglass/Pond Shield combination.

HERE.

FAUX STONE POND
Sometimes ponds use
construction methods that can be deceiving. In
this case, the pond was constructed from Gunnite and
the stone cap around the edges was actually shaped
and painted faux stone that was formed when the
Gunnite was shot in. The owner chose to coat
the interior of the pond and waterfall with Black
Pond Shield and then coat the faux stone with Clear
Pond Shield. See more
HERE.

UNDER-DECK
GROTTO
This unique pond was build
under the deck of a home that was built on the side
of a mountain. The waterfall area sheets down
on the left side of the pond and travels through a
stream bed above and to the right, finally emptying
into the other side of the pond. See more
HERE.

LINER
REPLACEMENT WITH POND SHIELD
PROJECT
The owner of this pond was
just plain having problems with the liner for this
pond. The pond was designed for the confined
space in which it resides, which meant the liner
ended up being just too bulky for the pond after it
was installed. The folds and wrinkles
definitely took away from the over-all beauty of the
pond. The situation was corrected by removing
the liner and sealing it with Black Pond Shield. See more
HERE.

CANTILEVERED
POND
A combination for wanting
a pond and formal landscaping was the driving force
behind this unique pond. As you look through
the pictures, pay close attention to the mirrored
material under the cantilevered edge of the pond.
It makes the pond look as though it goes under the
house. See more
HERE.

SMALL CONCRETE
POND
This concrete pond needed
to sealed. The home owner chose to coat it
with Black Pond Shield all the way up to the bottom
of the trim rocks at the top. See more
HERE.

LITTLE SPANISH
STYLE FOUNTAIN
This little Spanish style
fountain needed a lot of attention and that's just
what the home owner gave it. There were cracks
on the inside and outside and the center pedestal
needed work as well. Once everything was fixed
on the fountain, some nice blue glazed tile was
added at the inside top as an accent and the rest of
the fountain was coated with Pond Shield Clear.
The outside was cleaned up and it was finally ready
for water. See more
HERE.

ODD SHAPED
POND
Another concrete pond
where the idea was to use a smooth coating in
conjunction with the rounded edges to produce better
water flow throughout the pond. The concrete
was etched and then Black Pond Shield was applied up
to the bottom of the cap stone. See more
HERE.

BUBBLING LINER
PROBLEMS
If you look in the bottom
center of the pond, the line has begun to bubble up
towards the top of the water. This liner was
in such bad shape that water and trapped air had
gotten behind it, causing problems. The repair
was facilitated with a combination of Pond Shield
epoxy and Polyurea. See more
HERE.

LINER TO ROCK
BRIDGE
One of our installers came
across a very unique situation where there was no
way to attach the existing pond liner around the top
of this boulder and effectively get it to seal.
We devised a plan to double fold the liner
underneath a piece of stainless steel strap that
then sandwiched the liner to the rock. The
stainless steel strap was then bolted firmly to the
boulder using stainless steel anchors. Once
everything was set, Pond Shield was applied to the
stainless steel and a bridge using both Pond Shield
and fiberglass mat was applied. The bridge
covered both the stainless steel and overlapped onto
the boulder by an inch or so. See more
HERE.

LITTLE FOUNTAIN
UPGRADE
The owner of this fountain
was very disappointed with the fact that it would
not stop leaking. Another home owner who had
previously used Pond Shield on his pond recommended
that she seal her fountain using the same materials
he used. He went right to work and cleaned up
her fountain, installed some new hardware and now
she's as happy as can be. See more
HERE.

LARGE CONCRETE
POND
Not too much is known
about this pond other than the owner wished to keep
fish in a very large environment. It's coated
with Pond Shield Black and the work was performed by
Down to Earth Landscapes in Raleigh, NC. See more
HERE.

LITTLE NATURAL
POND
This natural little pond
was created by Southern Ponds and Water Gardens.
Pond Shield clear was used to seal the waterfall
areas. See more
HERE.

LITTLE BACKYARD
WATERFALL
A great use of space can
be seen here with this corner waterfall that spills
off into a narrow pond basin at the bottom.
Pond Shield was used to seal the rock and the basin. See more
HERE.

DUAL STONE POND
This pond has been
constructed on both sides of the driveway giving the
entranceway a unique look. See more
HERE.

CHURCH WATER
FEATURE
A true labor of love and
an honor to design and build the two entry water
features of this 24 million dollar facility for the
Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma. The rockwork
was hand-sculpted and modeled after actual
out-cropping throughout the nations largest Youth
Camp. Each feature has 8-10 waterfalls cascading
into the splash free pool below. Part of our
challenge was to create the illusion of bringing the
outside in. We fabricated 16' tall custom trees that
replicated a native species found on property. The
smaller foliage also reflected the native
under-plantings. The foliage is from our line of
theme plants that we utilize in aquariums and museum
water settings. The plants are anchored to prevent
damage but can be removed for future change outs. See more
HERE.

INSIDE/OUTSIDE
POND
This unique pond travels
from the outside of the house to the inside right
along the entrance walkway. Once inside the
house a water wall channels water from the
filtration system back into the pond. See more
HERE.

SMALL NATURAL
POND
Garrett Maul from A
Healthy Pond created this little beauty. He
used Pond Shield Black to coat the surface of the
main basin and then used natural rock and foliage to
enhance the over all look. See more
HERE.

REPAIRING A
CONCRETE POND
Ray from Robinson
Engineering took on the task of repairing this older
concrete pond. A new shell complete with wire
mesh was sprayed in and then finally coated with
both Pond Shield Gray in the basin and Clear on the
waterfall. See more
HERE.

POND ADDITION
This pond was built as an
addition by a homeowner seeking to expand his hobby.
You can see him there spending time working the
concrete until he got it just the way he liked it.
It was then coated with Pond Shield Black and his
fish love their new home. See more
HERE.

WINDOWED POND
Ever thought about
building a pond with a window in it? So did
this homeowner. He laid out his basic design
and then went to work creating a pond that comes
complete with a waterfall and a window for viewing
the fish, or are the fish viewing him?. See more
HERE.

DECK POND
This pond was already in
service but had some problems. The homeowner
and his son set out to correct the problems and seal
it up with Pond Shield Black. The top portion
of this pond is capped with natural stone that
remains partially submerged. Pond Shield clear
was used on those areas of the rock to form a
complete seal. See more
HERE.

LONG BACKYARD
POND
This pond is truly one of
those nice features that enhance the over all look
of a backyard. This home owner created a very
nice waterfall that rounds a corner and finally
spills into the main body of the pond. See more
HERE.

ATRIUM WATER
FEATURE
A simple atrium area was
enhanced by a statue-laden water feature that has
been coated with Black Pond Shield. When the
fountain feature is running it produces a very
beautiful effect. See more
HERE.
