Sometimes ponds use construction methods that can be deceiving.  In this case, the pond was constructed from Gunnite and the stone cap around the edges was actually shaped and painted faux stone that was formed when the Gunnite was shot in.  The owner chose to coat the interior of the pond and waterfall with Black Pond Shield and then coat the faux stone with Clear Pond Shield.
