Fiberglass used in conjunction with Pond Shield will provide additional strength to the crack and further minimize the movement within the crack area.  Instead of woven fiberglass material, use 1.5 ounce chopped strand matt fiberglass with Pond Shield for the strongest fix.

The key to a perfect fiberglass job is to make sure the fiberglass is completely saturated with Pond Shield and that no air bubbles remain after it has set up.  Once the Pond Shield epoxy has cured, the fiberglass can be sanded and coated over during the normal coating process.  It is also at this time, that the fiberglass can be sanded as to smooth it out and make it blend in with the surface being coated.
